SRT Series - 5 Axis CNC Swivel Head

5-Axis CNC Machining Center Offers Maximum Flexibility

The SRTi series of 5-axis CNC mills offers multiple advantages, starting with the machine's design configuration that utilizes a swivel head and a C-axis rotary torque table that is embedded in the machine table and flush with the surface. The generous size the machine table provides maximum versatility because you can use the extra table space for secondary operations or 3-axis CNC work. This configuration is also available in an SW model that utilizes the swivel head, traditional machine table, and an add-on A-axis rotary.

Benefits of the SRT 5-Axis CNC Machine

The swivel head and rotary table design of the SRT offers distinct advantages for certain machining applications.

Versatility. The rotary table is embedded within the generous machine table, leaving extra space for secondary operations or 3-axis work.

Support for heavier parts. Because the table remains flat and does not tilt, the SRT's swivel head and rotary table design is typically preferred to trunnion-style 5-axis machines when machining heavier parts. The load is transferred through the machine to the levelling pads and supported by the foundation.

Continuous C-axis rotation. Unrestricted rotary table movement is particularly valuable when machining around a part or along a steep wall. A C-axis limited to +360° or -360° may need to unwind during machining. Hurco SRT rotary tables provide unlimited, continuous rotation to support efficient machining and maximise productivity.
